Don’t stop there! Continue to move with neck stretches, shoulder rolls and wrist stretches to boost your flexibility and range of movement and motion.

Standing Exercises

Don’t assume that, just because you’re working on a PC that you can’t exercise in an upright position.

Consider using a standing desk and play while standing. Research shows that standing desks lower blood sugar levels, decrease risk of heart disease, reduce bank pain, improve posture, increase productivity and enhance mood and energy levels.

You can also increase your activity level with a treadmill and walk your laps while you are on your PC or your mobile device. There are even under-desk elliptical machines that fit under your desk so you can pedal to keep yourself moving through your gaming fun.

Physical therapists suggest that you stagger periods of movement with periods of non-movement. There are a number of apps available that can help remind you to stretch, stand up or do some quick movements.

Diet

If you don’t watch your diet, exercise won’t aid in helping you control your weight as much as it could. It’s easy to get into the habit of snacking on unhealthy foods while you’re playing at the online casino but you’ll pay for it at the end of the summer.

Some ideas for healthy snacks and good summer eating habits include:

  1. Fruits and vegetables – fruits and vegetables are low-calorie and high-vitamin foods.   4. Creativity – healthy snacks don’t have to be boring. Blend up a smoothie bowl and top it with granola and fruit, roll up a rice paper roll or nori with vegetables, mix up a trail mix with nuts, seeds and dried fruit or bake some sweet potato fries and top it with some cinnamon.
