5G technology is steadily expanding to all corners of the world, and developers are currently working on releasing as many 5G compatible devices as fast as possible. As of now, Samsung, Motorola, LG and Huawei are currently leading the market for 5G smartphones for next year, with Apple will joining the race in the future as well.
Samsung, the biggest smartphone maker in the world, currently offers the Galaxy 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 phones as a 5G variant for an additional prize to its counter non-5g device. Huawei, on the other hand, have the foldable Mate X and the Mate 20 X. Other released 5G phones include LG’s V50 ThinQ, the ZTE Axon’s 10 Pro, the Motorola Moto z4, and the OnePlus 7 Pro.
Apple is expected to release three new 5G-enabled iPhones next year, and could well take the lead in the race as soon as they reach the market. Every year Apple launch new iPhone models in September, and next year the devices are also expected to get a redesign reminiscent of the iPhone 4. Waiting for next year to release their smartphones will also allow Apple to get a better sense of market conditions.
Market specialists are expecting Apple and Samsung to fight for the first place in 5G technology in the long run, as Chinese tech giant Huawei might have to fight against complaints of US companies like Google and being blacklisted by the US government in order to expand outside of China.
5G technology is already looking pretty interesting, what will the future hold for even faster devices?
